This time it's in graphic design. About the contest Pero, our fellow 1am-ian took this contest, which was an original idea of The publicity stunt to his own hands. Even if you don't know much about graphic design, install Photoshop or any other graphic program and start designing. How to enter Make a "Design is" 1024×768 or 1280x1024 wallpaper based on the sample provided. Use your creativity and remember the design can be plain and simple background but it must contain a sentence beginning with "Design is..." which has to make sense and have relation to the design of the wallpaper. Each wallpaper should be e-mailed to thelonephoenix@yahoo.com with "Graphics contest - Name of the design" in it's title. Contest rules - Contest begins Tuesday, March 13, 2007. - Entrants may NOT submit their entries before Saturday, April 7, 2007. - Last date for submissions: Friday, April 13, 2007. - ONLY 1-3 entries per participant allowed. - This contest is open to citizens of all countries. - Entries must be coded in JPG format of a resolution of either 1024×768 or 1280x1024 (maximum). - Entrants may NOT upload their entry elsewhere until the results of the contest are declared. Doing so WILL lead to disqualification. - Entrants may NOT ask for feedback on an unfinished entry. Doing so WILL lead to disqualification. - Contest open to registered users of 1amMedia forums only. Links - A sample of how a "Design is" wallpaper might look like. Prizes - A nice 1am font pack assembled by myself and PhoeniX. - Have your wallpaper featured at a new feature myself and PhoeniX are preparing for 1am. - A nice new web 2,0 avatar + signature combo made by PhoeniX :). - A lot of recognition in the community :). I see we are allowed up to three, so I'll make at least one more if not two. I'm not the best graphic designer, but I'm trying I'm also going to make widescreen versions for ws monitors and laptops (not for the entries, just in case anyone wants them, like myself)
