Back to school?

Is it an official class? If it is, and you pass you might get some credit at SAE.

Actually I believe the Sound Workshop attached to Ohio University in Chillicothe covers some DAW usage in one of their college accredited classes believe it or not lol. What the DAW they cover there I don't know.

In the metaphoric sense mentioned - there are quite a few board members here with many years of FLStudio experience. Professors PhoeniX and Pedro to name a couple ^^

I have expertise in some aspects of it - but to be honest there are some features I have never even used on every DAW I have. The reason is that I use a pretty unorthodox method to create my music and it really hasn't required me to learn every in-and-out of each DAW. That is a bad thing in a way of course.

Yeeaaahhh.... I was speaking metaphorically..... I've put FLstudio in my study schedule and have been taking notes on the video tutorials.... hehe... that's why I was referring to college credit.

I took a sound production class at a local junior college where I learned how to use some features in ACID, Cakewalk, and sound forge.... I did get credit for that B)

Hey hey hey! I'm no professor. I just love (okay so I don't just love it. I'd marry it, were it to transform into a chiclette ) FL Studio for two reasons:

i) Complete freedom to do whatever the funkin-donuts I want.

ii) The ONLY well designed (design as in graphically) DAW out there. I'm a graphics designer so I give a lotta credit to this factor too.

I know they teach some Pro Tools, and they might teach some Reason but I'm not sure.
called Recording Workshop btw, a friend of mine went there but couldn't afford anything more than one certification.

+1

/rant

I wish it would be taken a bit more serious though. It works great and has come a long way, yet they still can't seem to shake off the 'fruity' image.
Every magazine tutorial and music education focuses on other programs like Pro Tools, Cubase, Ableton, Reason, etc. but you never see FL Studio pop up.

/end of rant

...and I just realized this is a bit of an old thread :D
Check out my noise on MySpace :) or on AcidPlanet
