I'm joining a choir, I'll have a test in a few days, what do I need to know? What's some "awesome" stuff to read to prepare myself. The test will be the following : - Na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, naaaa...testing, to see which range I belong to. - 1 song of my choice to sing. Well, the test isn't so difficult itself but the things afterwards are, adjusting, reading notes and stuff, so any advices? - Pero

They will place you where they feel is suitable. Well organized choirs are like a finely tuned arrangement. If you think about it, that is exactly what they are actually. So if your role in the choir is not a lead, you still have an important part (and equal opportunity to screw up the sound lol). Other than that I would say to concentrate on the fundamentals and listen to the guidance of the director. Oh.. and as far as voice.. don't smoke, do drugs or drink. Second-hand smoke will degrade your voice, too. You have to take care of your voice if you will participate in a choir regularly, or it will definitely be heard in your singing.
